Texas Rebel Radio is variety with a decidedly Texas twist. In one
hour on KFAN you can hear country, blues, rock, zydeco, ballads,
current and classic music all blended together. The thread that
runs through it all is Texas. Forty to fifty percent of the music
played on FM 107.9 has a Texas connection... the artists live in
Texas, are from Texas, are singing about Texas, or the music is
produced in Texas.
Several times a day our programming is designed to showcase Texas music. The "Texas Six Pack" is six Texas songs in a row and is run Monday through Friday at 8am, 3pm and 8pm. The "Texas Coffee Break" is a fifteen minute block of Texas music at 10am Monday through Friday. "Local Licks at Six" was created to feature Texas artists without a major recording contract and airs at 6pm weekdays.
